Key West Airfare, Airport and Ferry Information.  Getting to Key West from Miami.

7 mile grill on the way to Key West
Great Food and views!

Getting to Key West.

You can drive, fly, take a bus or get here by Ferry.  Non stop flights are available from Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Fort Myers and Naples.
DRIVING
Many people fly to either Miami or Fort Lauderdale airports, rent a car and drive down. Driving time from Miami is 4 hours. From Fort Lauderdale it's 5 hours. There is only one road in and it can be slow moving at times. Take your time and enjoy the scenery. The 7 Mile Grill is a cute place to stop for a bite to eat. It is located just before the 7 mile bridge, on the right at mile marker 47.5. You may want to check out Pigeon Key. This tiny five acre island, located under the old 7 mile bridge, once provided housing and headquarters for Henry Flagler’s railroad workers. Be sure to obey the speed limit, especially in Big Pine Key – home of the endangered Key Deer.

BY FERRY
If you are on the Southwest Coast of Florida, you could take the high speed ferry to Key West. It departs from Fort Myers Beach every morning and arrives in Key West around 12:30PM. There is also service in the winter only from Marco Island to Key West. The boats are very comfortable. Food and drinks are available for purchase from the snack bar.  More on the Key West Ferry Services

BY AIR
FLYING TO KEY WEST
Yes, Key West has an airport! The Key West International Airport is located about 4 miles from the historic district and across from Smather’s Beach. American Airlines, Continental Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Airlines and US Airways all offer service into Key West with a connection somewhere else in Florida. Delta Airlines also offers a connection to Key West from Atlanta aboard a small jet. There is also a great regional airline called Cape Air. They offer service from Naples airport. Flying into Key West usually increases the cost of your airline ticket but is more convenient. Upon arrival, you can take a taxi to your hotel. There is really no need for a rental car especially if you stay in the old town area. Getting around our 2 by 4 mile island is easy.   We have special packages on Cape Air, including a flight and 2 night hotel stay.
